Missions We Support

Church of the Lakes Missions
Jesus tells us in the Great Commission that He has been given "all authority in heaven and on earth" and  that we are to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," and that 'if we teach them (non-believers) everything that He has taught us, then He will be with us until the end of this age.' (Matthew 28:16-20 NIV)  Church of the Lakes is very passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus.  Not only do we serve in our community and surrounding communities but we look for opportunities to reach out to people in other states and countries as well when we send our congregation members on mission trips.  We believe that God has given every Christian a purpose, however, first and foremost Christ wanted His followers to spread His message and to be His ambassadors here on earth after He left.  Our goal is to disciple the people that God placed within our walls to be intentional about their faith and service and to reach out to anyone who has need.  Jesus said in John 12:26, "whoever serves Me must follow Me, and where I am, My servant will also be," (NIV)  and the Church of the Lakes has made a committment to go where ever the Lord takes us.
