The church has an on going collection for St. Vincent DePaul.  They need spaghetti, canned food, boxed food, clothing, blankets, small working household items, toiletry items and they also collect and haul appliances and furniture.  You can drop things off at their location on Clay Lick Road or simply bring them to the church during office hours.  We have a collection tub for them near the kitchen.

We also collect any and all for the Lord's Locker You can put your donations in the large tub located near the kitchen and we will deliver it for you!

We are the "green bean church" for the Brown County Schools Backpack Program.  We have committed to taking at least 140 cans of green beans to their drop off location each month, so that they can fill backpacks for those children and families who are in need.  We accept any brand of beans but if possible bring in cans with pull tabs on top.

Are you interested in feeding the hungry?  If so, then join us when we travel to Indianapolis each month to serve a warm home cooked meal to hundreds of men, women and families in need.  On the 4th Saturday of each month we need donations of the following items to make this ministry a success.  We will take bottled water, dozens of hard-boiled eggs, 8-10 pounds of baked beans and 13 trays of warm macaroni and cheese.  Once we round everything up we meet at the church at 7:45am and head up to the parking lot of Roberts Park United Methodist Church in Indianapolis where we serve and visit with more than 200 people in need.  We would love some more people to get involved with this ministry and many others at the church.  If you would like more information please contact John Bartley at or call him at 317-513-6038.

Sleeping Mats for the Homeless

A few years ago we began a new ministry.  We started collecting recycled plastic bags and making sleeping mats for the homeless.  We started by cutting the bags a certain way and tying them together.  Then we roll the plastic into a ball of PLARN (plastic-yarn), then we crochet them into the sleeping mats.  We deliver the mats to Roberts Park and IU Health's HIP Program whenever we have enough to take.

If you have any questions about this ministry please call Vonda Mercer at 317-727-2749 or email her at  and if you would like to learn how to roll PLARN or crochet mats you can search that on Youtube where they have several videos uploaded.

If you would like to help by rolling PLARN here is a You Tube link that you can go to to learn how.

If you would like to learn how to crochet the mats please contact us through email and we will send you the attachment and instructions or you are always free to simply give us a call!

If you are dropping off items for any of the 4 collections during the week you might give us a call first to make sure someone is at the church to accept your dontation.

Thank you for helping!
