Church of the Lakes has partnered with the Lord's Locker since 2015 by donating boxes of macaroni and cheese and by supporting the volunteers. Once a month our church provides a hot meal for the volunteers who serve all day on Wednesday. They clean, stock shelves, organize, recieve donations, hand out food and minister to those in need so it is our pleasure to support them in any way!
Shepherd's Heart Prison Ministry was started in 1989 by Lynn Cole Springer and her husband Shawn joined her full time in 2012. Lynn's primary focus is working with the juveniles who have been waived to adult court at the Marion County Jail and she also works at the Indiana Women's Prison. Shawn's primary focus are those men who are serving long term prison sentences at the Madison County Jail in Anderson Indiana, but he also assists Lynn when needed. Our church has been supporting Shepherd's Heart for over 8 years now and it is amazing to see the progress that Lynn and Shawn are making within the prison system.
